In plain terms

What this service is.

There are two halves to this service, and most clients need both.

The first is custom furniture: pieces made specially for your space, in our own workshop in Abu Dhabi. Reception desks, bar counters, display units, boardroom tables, fitted cabinets and feature walls. These are the pieces that cannot be bought because they have to fit an exact space or carry your brand.

The second is everything you buy rather than build: desks, chairs, sofas, tables, curtains, blinds, decorative lighting, artwork, accessories and plants. We source it, price it, ship it, deliver it and place it.

AGC began as a joinery workshop in 2012, and that workshop is still ours. It is the reason our details fit properly: we measure your finished space first, then build to those exact dimensions, so there are no ugly gaps filled with silicone at the end.

Who this is for

Offices

Needing a reception desk, boardroom table, storage and a tea point that match the space rather than a catalogue.

Hotels and restaurants

Where banquettes, bar fronts and loose furniture carry the entire guest impression.

Shops and showrooms

Needing display units built to a brand standard and repeated across several branches.

Spaces already built

Where the construction is finished but the room still feels empty or unfinished.

Anyone replacing worn furniture

Who wants pieces that will last the next ten years rather than the next two.

What is included

How it works, step by step

Six steps, nothing made unapproved.

Nothing goes into production until you have approved the drawing, the material sample and the final site measurement.

  1. Step 01

    The list

We split what should be custom-made from what is better bought, with a price and a lead time against each item.

  2. Step 02

    Drawings

Every custom piece drawn for your approval: size, materials, hardware and how it fixes to the building.

  3. Step 03

    Samples

Real material samples in your hand. On larger orders we build a prototype of a repeated item first.

  4. Step 04

    Final measurement

We measure the finished room before production starts, so the piece fits the space that actually exists.

  5. Step 05

    Making and ordering

Custom pieces go into our workshop; bought items are ordered to arrive in the same window.

  6. Step 06

    Delivery and styling

Everything delivered, installed, positioned and dressed, ready to photograph.

How long it takes

Custom joinery takes roughly four to eight weeks in the workshop once drawings and site measurements are approved. Imported loose furniture often takes longer because of shipping and customs. We will tell you the latest date each decision can be made without moving your opening.

Deliverables

What you receive.

  • Approved drawings of every custom piece, kept on file for future repairs or matching.
  • Physical material samples retained for reference.
  • Furniture delivered, assembled and positioned, not left in boxes.
  • Curtains and blinds measured, made and fitted.
  • Artwork hung and planting placed and potted.
  • A complete item list with supplier details and care instructions.
  • A twelve-month warranty on everything we manufacture.

Costs, and how we quote

Clear prices, agreed in writing.

Custom and bought items are priced separately so you can see exactly where the money goes, and move it if you want. Clients often spend more on a reception desk that everyone sees and less on back-office storage that nobody does, and we will tell you honestly which is which.

Every custom piece is quoted individually with its materials listed. If the number is higher than you expected, we will offer a different material or construction rather than quietly reducing the quality.

Imported furniture is quoted with shipping and customs included. A price that excludes them is not a real price, and it is a common way to make a quote look cheaper than it is.

What is never in our quotes

  • No shipping or customs charges added after you have accepted the quote.
  • No substituting a cheaper material without telling you.
  • No charge for storing finished items if your site is delayed.
  • No delivery-only service that leaves you to assemble and place it yourself.

Why clients choose AGC

Why AGC for furniture.

We own the workshop

Your production slot is ours to allocate. You are not waiting behind another company’s order.

Measured after the build

Pieces are made to the real room, so they fit properly instead of being packed out with filler.

Matched materials

One batch of veneer across a whole floor, with the grain matched across doors and panels.

We can repair it later

Because we hold the original drawings, we can remake or match a damaged piece years afterwards.

Honest about lead times

Joinery usually decides the opening date. We tell you that early rather than discovering it together later.

The worries clients tell us about

Honest answers to real concerns.

Is custom furniture much more expensive than buying?

Not always. For standard desks and chairs, buying is cheaper and we will tell you so. Custom wins where a piece must fit an exact space, carry your brand or survive heavy public use, and there a bought item often has to be replaced twice in the time ours lasts.

What if it does not fit when it arrives?

It will, because we measure the finished room before production rather than working from the original drawings. This is the single biggest cause of furniture problems in this industry, and it is why we take the measurement twice.

What if I do not like it once it is made?

You approve a drawing and a physical material sample before anything is made, and on larger orders a full prototype. By the time a piece goes into production there are no surprises left.

Can you work with my designer’s furniture list?

Yes. We price and deliver against any third-party schedule, and we will flag any item whose lead time or specification clashes with your programme before you order it.

Do I need the styling, or is that just an upsell?

It is the cheapest part of the project and the most visible. A space without it reads as unfinished in every photograph. That said, if your budget is tight we will tell you which pieces genuinely matter and which can wait.
